'Fak Kurba' Facilitates The Release Of 511 Financially Distressed Inmates

Muscat: The humanitarian initiative 'Fak Kurba' has successfully enabled the release of 511 inmates facing financial hardships across various governorates in the Sultanate of Oman since the commencement of its 12th edition.

This initiative has instilled hope in the families of those released, providing them with a chance for a new beginning.

The highest number of releases occurred in the North Al Batinah Governorate, totaling 169 cases, followed by South Al Batinah with 85, Al Dakhiliyah with 73, and South Al Sharqiyah with 57. Additionally, there were 49 cases in Al Dhahirah, 29 in Muscat, 18 in North Al Sharqiyah, 14 in Al Wusta, and three in Al Buraimi.

Dr. Hamad bin Hamdan Al-Rubaie, Chairman of the Oman Lawyers Association, noted that this accomplishment was made possible through the collective efforts of the Omani community, including both individuals and institutions, who generously supported the initiative.

He underscored this as a remarkable demonstration of social solidarity that characterizes Omani society and urged for ongoing support for the initiative.
