Muscat: Authorities in Oman have apprehended four foreign nationals on charges of unlawfully restraining an individual and extorting money from his family.
The Royal Oman Police stated that the North Al Sharqiyah Governorate Police Command, in collaboration with the Al Dakhiliyah Governorate Police Command, successfully detained four individuals of Asian origin in the Al Mudhaibi region. These individuals were accused of unlawfully restraining a fellow national and demanding monetary compensation from his family in exchange for his release.
The legal proceedings against the accused are currently underway, as confirmed by the ROP.
