Muscat: The Council of Ministers has issued directives to initiate a national program aimed at the early detection of prevalent cancer cases among women. This initiative will involve the establishment of seven early detection units across all governorates of the Sultanate of Oman. Additionally, there will be an expansion of nuclear medicine services through the creation of a radioisotope production facility and a nuclear pharmacy, addressing the increasing demand for radiopharmaceutical isotopes used in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer patients.
