The Dibba Port Development Project in the Wilayat of Dibba is a significant initiative being carried out by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources in the Musandam Governorate.
Ahmed bin Ali Al Shahi, the director of the fishing port in the wilayat of Dibba, provided an update on the progress of the Dibba Fishing Port project, stating that construction is advancing well with completion currently at 75 percent.
The project is anticipated to be finished within two months and fully operational by the first quarter of 2025. Al Shahi highlighted the completion of concrete works and the port's reception of ships from neighboring countries.
The project encompasses four sectors: fishing, tourism, sea transport services, and trade. With a total cost of OMR 40 million, the project includes two wave breakers - a main one measuring 1,550 meters and a secondary one measuring 500 meters, along with an 8-meter deep dock and a 130-meter boat anchor area, among other amenities.
Additionally, the project designates 5,000 sq. meters for hotels, restaurants, tourism services, transport facilities, and sector-specific docks, as well as internal road infrastructure, electricity, lighting, water network, rainwater drainage, and other essential services.
