Dibba-lima-khasab Road Is One Of The Key Strategic Projects In Oman

Yousef bin Abdullah Al Mejaini, the Assistant Director General for Projects and Maintenance at the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, has announced that the Khasab: Dibba-Lima-Khasab Road Project is a significant undertaking supervised by the ministry. This project spans a total length of 70km and consists of multiple sections.

The first section covers a distance of 19km, starting from the Wilayat of Khasab and extending to the Niyabat of Lima. The second section focuses on upgrading the efficiency of existing roads, covering 8km. Lastly, the third section spans 43km, connecting the Niyabat of Lima to the Wilayat of Dibba.

To ensure the smooth flow of traffic, the project includes the construction of 300 box culverts and 11 bridges. Each lane will have a width of 3.6 metres, and the road will also have designated shoulders.

The estimated timeline for completing the project is 42 months, with an additional 90 days allocated for mobilization. The objective is to create a road that remains accessible to traffic regardless of weather conditions.
