Muscat: Today, a meeting was convened by the ministerial committee responsible for the Social Protection Scheme, presided over by HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, the Deputy Prime Minister for Defense Affairs as well as the Committee's Chairman.
The meeting commenced with a review of the progress made regarding the decisions that were made during the committee's earlier meeting this year. Several agenda points were addressed, and proposals from relevant agencies concerning the social protection system were evaluated, leading to thoughtful discussions and the adoption of suitable resolutions.
Notably, one of the key aims of the Social Protection Committee is to assess and oversee the operation of the social protection system. This ensures that all segments of society receive equitable, efficient, and sustainable insurance coverage, aligning with the predetermined objectives of the social protection initiative.
