Muscat: The Department of Customs in Oman has conducted a raid at a residence in the South Al Batinah Governorate, resulting in the confiscation of over 2,200 bottles of alcoholic beverages. Additionally, the Department secured in excess of 2,300 kilograms of tobacco derivatives within the Muscat Governorate.
In a formal declaration, Oman Customs Office has reported: "The Compliance and Risk Assessment Division conducted an investigation at a residence in Barka and discovered a collection of 2,241 bottles of alcoholic beverages. Furthermore, at a different location in Seeb, law enforcement officials intercepted activities at a farm leading to the seizure of more than 2,300 kilograms of tobacco derivatives. Legal proceedings are currently underway against the individual involved in this matter."
