Muscat: Today, a joint meeting was convened at the Council of Ministers' headquarters in Muscat, involving both the Council of Ministers and the State Council.
HH Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmood Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, welcomed Sheikh Abdulmalik bin Abdullah Al Khalili, Chairman of the State Council, along with members of the State Council’s Office.
This meeting was part of ongoing collaborative efforts between the Council of Ministers and the Council of Oman, as outlined in the Basic Law of the State and the Law of the Council of Oman. It aimed to enhance cooperation among various institutions to effectively serve the public interest.
At the beginning of the meeting, HH Sayyid emphasized that state institutions work cohesively to implement economic and social initiatives, thereby contributing to the overall development of Oman.
HH Sayyid Fahd further noted that the Council of Ministers values the significant contributions of the State Council and is committed to keeping it informed about the government's initiatives in executing the State’s general policies, enhancing performance, and modernizing various sectors.
He also acknowledged the national expertise within the State Council, highlighting the important role of its experts in developing studies that benefit the public interest.
The Chairman of the State Council and the members of the State Council Office praised the progress of collaborative efforts between the government and the Council. They emphasized that the upcoming phase will involve increased coordination with the Council of Ministers to achieve the set objectives.
Both parties deliberated on strategies to enhance integration among state institutions, strengthen the role of the State Council in fostering targeted community awareness, and the necessity of intensifying efforts to protect the nation's achievements.
