Muscat: The construction of four new schools in the Muscat Governorate is currently in progress, with the total project budget exceeding OMR14 million. These schools will feature a wide range of integrated facilities designed to enhance the educational experience across various grade levels.
Dr. Abdullah Khalfan Al Shibli, the Director of Projects and Services in Muscat Governorate, stated that the Ministry of Education is actively overseeing the development of these new educational institutions.
He emphasized that the schools will be equipped with essential services and amenities, including spacious classrooms, multi-purpose halls, learning centers, science and computer laboratories, as well as administrative offices.
Elaborating further, Al Shibli mentioned that the first school will consist of 40 classrooms for boys in grades 9 to 12, located in the Wilayat of Al Amerat, with a construction cost of OMR3.6 million.
The second and third schools are being established in the Wilayat of A’Seeb, according to Al Shibli. He noted that the first of these is also a 40-classroom facility for boys (grades 9 to 12), with a budget of OMR3.59 million. The second school, situated in Hail Al Awamer, will similarly have 40 classrooms for boys (grades 9 to 12) and is being constructed at a cost of OMR3.95 million.
The fourth school is under construction in the Wilayat of Qurayat. This institution will feature 36 classrooms catering to both male and female students in grades 1 to 4, with a budget of OMR3.6 million, as explained by Al Shibli.
