Construction Accelerates At New Mahout Hospital With 90% Completion Rate

Mahout: Construction Progress at the New Mahout Hospital in Al Wusta The governorate is progressing quickly, with completion planned for the end of the year. The facility will offer main and secondary medical care to people of Mahout and neighboring provinces, with building already 90% complete.

Eng. Yousuf Yaqoub Amboali, the Ministry of Health's Director General of Projects and Engineering Services, reported that work on the new Mahout Hospital is progressing well. The project, which spans 15,000 square meters, is 90% complete and includes current criteria in accordance with international standards to provide a one-of-a-kind and contemporary design.

He said the hospital will have 54 beds and is being constructed on a 200,000 square meter site. It will improve basic and secondary healthcare services for the local community and adjacent communities, serving around 2,000 people when finished.

He stated that the hospital will have outpatient clinics, an emergency room, operating rooms, a maternity ward, medical laboratories, a radiology department, inpatient wards, an intensive care unit (ICU), a newborn intensive care unit (NICU), a dialysis unit, and a services building. Furthermore, the center will have complete electrical, mechanical, and air conditioning systems, as well as computer networks and all essential support services.

It is important to highlight that Mahout Hospital will offer critical healthcare services to inhabitants and residents, saving time and eliminating the need for patient transfers beyond the governorate.
