Muscat: The committee responsible for overseeing the implementation of the Convention on the Right of the Child convened for its inaugural meeting of 2024, presided over by Sheikh Rashid Ahmed Al Shamsi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Development.
During the meeting, participants examined the progress made in addressing the suggestions and observations presented in the 5th and 6th national reports concerning the rights of the child. Additionally, the discussion shed light on certain terms referenced in conventions and agreements pertinent to human rights.
