Muscat: The COMEX 2024 Technology Exhibition is set to commence on 27 May at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre (OCEC).
Organized by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology in collaboration with the Arabian Research Bureau, this four-day event was announced during a press conference held today at the Ministry headquarters.
Dr. Ali Amer Al Shidhani, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology for Communications and Information Technology, emphasized the Ministry's objective of establishing the exhibition as a hub for technology investment and a platform to further the goals of the National Programme for Digital Economy.
The Undersecretary also highlighted that the exhibition will showcase the progress made in the National Programme for Digital Economy.
Over 100 Omani startups specializing in technology products, digital solutions, and services will participate in COMEX 2024.
The event is supported by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, the Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Development (ASMED), Omantel, ITHCA Group, the Central Bank of Oman (CBO), and the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources, Al Shidhani stated.
Additionally, the exhibition will feature the 2nd Digital Transformation Forum, which serves as a platform to showcase best practices in digital transformation and shed light on regional and international experiences in the digital and technology sectors.
