The second edition of the Musandam Carnival at Bassa Beach in the Wilayat of Khasab, Oman, offers a wide range of activities and entertainment programs for all members of society. The festival, which began on Thursday, will end on Sunday.
Organized by the Musandam Governor’s Office in collaboration with the Oman Tourism Development Company (Omran Group), the carnival includes participation from various government and private entities. The goal is to showcase Musandam Governorate as an appealing tourist destination for families, providing diverse tourism experiences and recreational activities for individuals and families to enjoy, while also engaging and supporting the local community.
The organizers aim to celebrate the rich heritage and beauty of Musandam Governorate, known for its diverse culture, unique folk arts, customs, traditions, as well as its stunning beaches and mountains. The event takes place at Bassa Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in Oman.
Saif bin Ahmed al Dhahouri, a member of the main committee for the Musandam winter season at the Musandam Governor’s Office, stated: “The governorate is committed to attracting more tourists by hosting events and activities that cater to various preferences. This carnival is part of the Musandam winter season activities and contributes to the tourism growth in the region. We aim to showcase the tourism offerings of the governorate and highlight its diverse cultural and tourism activities. We hope it will serve as a recreational and touristic attraction for citizens, residents, and visitors alike."
