CAA Launches Logo Marking Oman's Entry Into WMO

Muscat: On Monday, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) unveiled a logo commemorating the anniversary of the Sultanate of Oman’s membership in the World Meteorological Organization (WMO).

This initiative underscores the CAA's commitment to fostering international collaboration in meteorology and climate-related matters.

The logo was introduced during the Virtual Laboratory Management Group meeting, which the CAA is hosting in Muscat from January 20 to 23, 2025. The event has attracted over 35 representatives from the WMO, satellite agencies, and centers of excellence in satellite applications.

The meeting aims to explore avenues for enhancing international cooperation in the utilization of satellite applications, assess advancements in training programs, and identify opportunities for collaboration with other training institutions. Additionally, it seeks to facilitate interaction, share expertise, and support the adoption of modern satellite technologies among WMO member states.

Panel discussions will focus on developing strategies for training and optimizing the use of satellite products to safeguard lives and property.

Attendees include the President of the Meteorological Organization, the President of the European Satellite Organization, and officials from relevant authorities.
