ASMED Hosts Sessions To Inspire Entrepreneurs

The Entrepreneurship Talk organized by the Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Development (ASMED) took place on Tuesday. The event focused on discussing the journey, experiences, and opportunities of entrepreneurs.

The target audience for these sessions includes officials, decision makers, small and medium enterprise owners, start-up companies, student company owners, as well as individuals interested in establishing their own business projects. It also welcomes those with inspiring stories and experiences that have led to their success.

The main objective of these sessions is to provide business aspirants with insights into both success and failure, encouraging them to persevere and sustain their projects and initiatives. They also aim to learn from the experiences of successful entrepreneurs, shed light on the challenges they have faced, and explore ways to address them. Additionally, the sessions provide a platform for open dialogue and the exchange of ideas.

ASMED is committed to organizing direct meetings with entrepreneurs in different governorates to discuss the challenges they encounter.

During the first session, Halima bint Rashid bin Sulaiman al Zariyah, the Chairperson of ASMED, attended and discussed pioneering experiences in coffee making and coffee cup production. Khalid al Abri, a founding partner of Coffee Fleet Café, delivered a presentation on specialty coffee and shared the beginnings of the company, along with his partners Khalil al Abri and Hatem al Muzaini. Khalid emphasized the importance of creating opportunities for others and delegating tasks and responsibilities for the success of any project.

Amal al Dakhri, the proprietor of the Amal Cups Project, shared her insights on the process of crafting cups and distributing them to exclusive coffee shops in Kuwait, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, the UK, and USA.

During the sacred month of Ramadhan, the Authority has arranged three informative sessions. The second session will feature influential entrepreneurs from various generations in Al Aqr neighborhood, located in the Wilayat of Nizwa within the Al Dakhiliyah Governorate. Subsequently, another session will take place in the Wilayat of Sur, situated in the Al Sharqiyah South Governorate.
