Apple is set to make notable alterations to the iPhone's design later this year, as reported by Mac Rumours.

According to the information, the iPhone's design is poised for "significant changes" this year, with substantial updates anticipated for both the standard and Pro versions.

The leak indicates that the "iPhone 17 Air" will showcase a "horizontal, bar-shaped" design on its back, likely referring to an extended camera bump.

In contrast, the Pro models are expected to feature a "large horizontal matrix design," which aims to refresh the iPhone lineup that has experienced only minor updates in recent years.

Earlier reports from Mac Rumours have also suggested considerable design modifications for the iPhone 17 Pro, including a new rectangular camera bar that spans the back of the device.

Additionally, the sleek "iPhone 17 Air" is rumored to incorporate a horizontal rear camera bar.

Previous insights from Mac Rumours also indicate that the iPhone 17 Pro models will present a new rear design combining aluminum and glass, featuring a rectangular camera bump made of aluminum.

This updated design is anticipated to be larger than its predecessors and will support wireless charging capabilities.

Furthermore, reports have hinted at a "large foldable model" in development, which could enhance competition within the market.

The iPhone 17 series is expected to launch in the fall, with Apple likely to reveal the new devices during a special event in September.
