‘All Oman’ Initiative Aims To Boost Community Partnership

Muscat: On Sunday, the Muscat Governorate hosted the final phase of the "All Oman" initiative, which seeks to strengthen community participation and reflect the national trend of decentralization.

The event was conducted under the sponsorship of Sayyid Saud bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Muscat Governor.

The final round of the three-day event, conducted at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Center, seeks to promote direct contact between Omani governorates and the groups tasked with executing Oman Vision 2040. It aims to enlighten and empower the local community through meetings, visits, and workshops to collaborate on developing an inclusive approach.

The Governor of Muscat stated that the "All Oman" initiative offers a genuine opportunity to turn the aims of Oman Vision 2040 into actual reality through open dialogue and collaborative action to support local initiatives in all governorates of Oman, utilizing the governorates' unique competitive advantages in investment, economic potential, and social and cultural characteristics.

He also stressed that meeting reflects the shared government-private sector approach and thinking connected to local community needs is critical for achieving development goals and executing strategic plans.

For his part, Dr. Khamis bin Saif Al Jabri, Head of the Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Followup Unit, highlighted the efforts being made to ensure the success of the 'All Oman' initiative, which has visited all of the Sultanate's governorates. He also praised the high degree of collaboration demonstrated by the local community and official agencies.

Al Jabri emphasized that the effort represents the spirit of community collaboration, with a focus on empowering local communities and bolstering the role of governorates in development.

The initiative's activities included specialized, knowledge-transfer-oriented workshops designed to increase the capacity of the governorate's employees and target audience from various sectors, such as planning, project management, and Vision follow-up offices.

As part of the "All Oman" initiative in Muscat Governorate, a youth meeting was held to highlight inspiring experiences and success stories of young people who overcame challenges and made a genuine difference in their respective fields through creativity.

The youth meeting acted as a dialogue forum for young people, strengthening their position as active partners in achieving Oman Vision 2040 by introducing development initiatives and projects and involving numerous segments of society.
