Al Buraimi Governorate Discusses Investment In Natural Resources To Boost Tourism, Develop Services

Al Buraimi: Various developmental and service-oriented subjects were addressed by the Municipal Council of Al Buraimi Governorate, particularly focusing on investing in natural resources to enhance ecotourism and providing updates on significant infrastructure initiatives within the area.

The meeting, led by Sayyid Dr. Hamad Ahmed Al Busaidi, the Governor of Al Buraimi and Chairman of the Council, served as a platform for these discussions.

During the session, visual presentations were showcased, emphasizing the investment possibilities available in the environmental sector and the necessity of utilizing natural resources to foster sustainable tourism in the governorate.

The gathering also reviewed the notable accomplishments of the Directorate General of Agriculture and Water Resources in Al Buraimi for the year 2024.

Furthermore, progress was reported on the ongoing consultancy study for the rainwater drainage initiative in the Wilayat of Al Buraimi, which is being conducted by a specialized firm. The council underlined the critical need to enhance the drainage infrastructure to protect public assets and reduce the risks associated with rainfall.

The Chairman of the Municipal Council discussed the establishment of a Recreational Centre in Al Buraimi, pointing out that it will offer leisure facilities for all community members, improving the quality of life and drawing in tourism from both regional and external sources.

Additionally, he mentioned that these initiatives are set to open avenues for small and medium-sized enterprises to grow their businesses and create job opportunities for local residents, thereby invigorating the local economy and contributing to the broader community welfare.
