Ahd Foundation Provides Fund For New Health Centre

Muscat: The inauguration of the Balad Sayt Health Centre in the Wilayat of al Rustaq was celebrated with the support of the Ahd Foundation. Eng. Masoud bin Said Al Hashmi, the Governor of South Al Batinah, presided over the ceremony, which was made possible by the generous contribution of Her Highness the Honourable Lady Assayida Ahd Abdullah Hamed al Busaidi, Spouse of the Sultan of Oman.

Yousef bin Mohammed al Farsi, the Director General of Health Services in South Al Batinah Governorate, expressed his deep appreciation for the noble gesture of Her Highness. He emphasized the significance of collaboration between the government and various sectors in Oman to prioritize public welfare and fund crucial projects like the Balad Sayt Health Centre.

The local community of Balad Sayt and nearby villages rejoiced at the opening of the health center, recognizing its ability to streamline healthcare services and save time and effort for the residents.

During the ceremony, the esteemed patron unveiled a commemorative plaque, officially declaring the Balad Sayt Health Center open. The officials were given a tour of the center's departments and clinics, where they were briefed on the range of healthcare services offered.

The health center is committed to offering a variety of services including general medicine, expanded program on immunization, maternal and child care, treatment of chronic diseases, community health, and school health.

During the event, Saif bin Nasser al Kalbani, Director General of the Ahd Foundation, emphasized the importance of building partnerships with government institutions and civil sectors to support the country's development.

In a separate statement, Dr Said bin Harib al Lamki, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Health Affairs, highlighted ongoing projects aimed at meeting the healthcare needs of citizens through the establishment of new health institutions and enhancing the efficiency of existing ones to accommodate the growing population.
