Ibri: On Wednesday, the Directorate General of Agriculture and Water Resources in A'Dhahirah Governorate convened to deliberate on strategies for broadening the agricultural sector's focus towards wheat cultivation for the forthcoming agricultural season.
This assembly was presided over by Eng. Salim Ali Al Omrani, the Director General of Agriculture and Water Resources in A'Dhahirah Governorate.
The agenda of the meeting was centered on exploring avenues to increase wheat production through collaborative efforts between the Directorate General and investors, aiming to augment food security and investment returns.
During the discussion, the Directorate took into consideration the perspectives of investors regarding the "executive status of ongoing wheat cultivation projects on lands allocated under the usufruct system."
The meeting further addressed the challenges encountered in wheat cultivation within the governorate and potential strategies to surmount these shared obstacles.
