Muscat hosted the fifth Oman Human Resources Forum, themed "Mechanisms for Empowering National Competencies and Increasing Productivity," on Thursday.
The forum explored strategies to protect the future of Omani human resources in light of fast global changes. It explored ways to effectively improve Omani human resources' capabilities as a strategic element for driving growth and sustainability.
The forum was conducted under the auspices of HH Sayyida Hujaija Jaifar Al Said.
The forum's activities included two working papers. The first presentation, titled Leading Change for Empowerment, was given by State Council member Abbas bin Ali Al Hameed, an authority in human resources development and change management.
Shamsa Hilal Al Hajri, an economic policy analyst with the Ministry of Economy, gave the second working paper, titled The Role of Knowledge Economy in Empowering Human Resources.
The agenda also contained an interactive lab focused on empowering national cadres and increasing production. The lab explored the obstacles posed to national work environments and discussed methods to create practical solutions that would help develop a model for an ideal work environment.
The lab also looked at how to incorporate AI tools into regular work systems and the cultural characteristics required for transition, with the goal of ensuring readiness for a fast changing digital future.
The forum, organized by Al Roya newspaper, also included a training workshop on increasing productivity through the use of artificial intelligence in the workplace. The workshop equipped participants with knowledge and application tools to help them achieve their desired outcomes using smart solutions.
