2025 Muscat Book Fair Set To Kick-off At Oman Convention Centre

Muscat: The Muscat International Book Fair is scheduled to commence on Thursday, April 23, 2025, at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre. This year's event will be held under the esteemed patronage of His Highness Sayyid Dr. Fahd bin Al Julanda Al Said, President of Sultan Qaboos University.

Details regarding the 29th edition of the Muscat International Book Fair are being disclosed at a press conference at the Ministry of Information Theater.

His Excellency the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information announced that the North Al Sharqiyah Governorate will serve as the guest of honour for this year's exhibition. The fair will showcase a range of cultural events and activities aimed at highlighting the governorate's cultural and historical sites, scientific and humanitarian accomplishments, tourist attractions, and contemporary life across its wilayats.

His Excellency also noted that daily events and activities will be extensively covered by various media outlets, including live broadcasts of selected cultural happenings during the exhibition.

During his address at the press conference, the Director of the Muscat International Book Fair revealed that this year, 674 publishing houses from 35 countries will participate, comprising 640 direct participants and 34 participating through proxies.

He further mentioned that the fair's website lists over 681,000 titles and publications this year. Additionally, the fair will feature a wide array of events and activities for children and families, including interactive entertainment shows and youth initiatives.
