With A Cost Of OMR 72 Million, Ground Breaking Ceremony Held For Masirah Island Electricity Project

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman has marked the commencement of the Masirah Island electricity connection project, which is projected to cost approximately OMR 72 million.

This initiative represents a pioneering effort in Oman, designed to link Masirah Island to the primary electricity transmission network.

The project encompasses the establishment of a 132/33 kV power station on Masirah Island, the installation of a 25-kilometer 132 kV submarine cable, 9 kilometers of 132 kV underground lines, and 60 kilometers of 132 kV overhead transmission lines to facilitate the connection between Mahout Station (400/132 kV) and Masirah Station.
