Al Suwaiq: On Monday, the North Al Batinah branch of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) hosted a forum focused on investment in food security.
Entitled "Secure Investment for Sustainable Food", the forum aimed to encourage investment in food security, aligning with the goals of Oman Vision 2040.
The discussions centered on ways to support economic diversification by localizing high-quality projects that utilize modern technologies, thereby enhancing in-country value.
An exhibition featuring products and services from over 20 establishments specializing in the food security sector took place alongside the forum.
Additionally, the forum included sessions addressing the contributions of the private sector, civil society organizations, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in advancing food security initiatives, as well as research, innovation, and technology to strengthen a sustainable food security framework.
The event was conducted under the patronage of Mohammed Sulaiman Al Kindi, the Governor of North Al Batinah, and attended by Faisal Abdullah Al Rowas, Chairman of the OCCI Board of Directors, along with government officials, private sector representatives, entrepreneurs, and business owners.
