Six Arrested For Public Morality Violations In Dhofar

Muscat: The Dhofar Governorate Police's Criminal Investigation Department has detained six Egyptian women on suspicion of participating in activities that breach public morality and ethics.

According to the Royal Oman Police, the arrests took place in Salalah, where law enforcement found illegal activities taking place in numerous coffee shops with private chambers.

“The women were reportedly engaged in unlawful activities in return for monetary compensation,” the ROP said. "Legal procedures are being finalised in accordance with Oman's laws."
