Salalah: The Sultan Qaboos Youth Complex for Culture and Entertainment in Salalah hosted the conclusion of the 7th edition of the 'Dhofar Holy Quran Forum' on Wednesday.
The Directorate General of Endowments and Religious Affairs in Dhofar Governorate hosted the event.
The closing ceremony was held under the supervision of HH Sayyid Marwan bin Turki Al Said, Governor of Dhofar, in the presence of Dr. Mohammed bin Said Al Maamari, Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs, and other high government officials.
The celebration featured a visual presentation on the evolution of Quranic education from ancient ways to modern digital technology, as well as a religious singing performance.
The event also felicitated 24 winners in the Quran competition and 40 local women who had memorized the Holy Quran.
The forum's activities included working papers that addressed philosophical and educational concerns, such as the methods of interpreting the Holy Quran and the Holy Book's approach to resolving intellectual issues and developing a strong value system.
