Royal Army Of Oman Band Achieves Advanced Rankings In Scotland

Edinburgh: In preparation for the World Championship in Glasgow, the Royal Army of Oman Music band has earned high marks in the early rounds of the Scottish musical competitions' (3B) category.

In its class, the group placed fifth overall. In addition, out of dozens of candidates from several nations, Warrant Officer Mohammed Khamis Al Amri came in fourth, while Sergeant Tariq Nassib Al Amri placed sixth in the Mace Bearer event.

The band performs in a number of Scottish towns, such as Renfrew, Dumbarton, Dundonald, Bridge of Allan, and Perth, before ending in Glasgow. The Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association, which represents more than 200 bands and 7,000 musicians from all over the world, has invited this participation.

This event gives us the chance to promote Oman's cultural diversity and civilized image on a global stage with thousands of musicians from 200 bands from all over the world, according to Colonel Ahmed bin Salim Al Shukairy, Director of the Royal Army of Oman Band.

Provost of Renfrewshire Lorraine Cameron praised the band's performance and the audience's engagement with them, saying how thrilled she was to see them.
