They also delved into recent developments and highlighted the shared perspectives of both countries in favor of various strategies to ensure regional and worldwide security, stability, and peace.
Fuad Hussein, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Iraq, conveyed his nation's support for Oman following a tragic event at the vicinity of a mosque in Al Wadi Al Kabir in Muscat. He offered his condolences for the loss of civilians and the sacrifice of a police officer.
In response, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, the Foreign Minister of Muscat, also had a telephone conversation with Ayman Safadi, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Jordan.
Ayman Safadi of Jordan showed his country's sympathy towards Oman for the incident in Al Wadi Al Kabir, expressing his country's condolences on the loss of civilians and the sacrifice of a police officer.
During their discussion, the two officials also emphasized the strong relations and ongoing collaboration between Oman and Jordan across various sectors.
Arab nations in the Gulf, along with Egypt, have also denounced a tragic shooting incident in Oman.
The United Arab Emirates has firmly condemned these criminal actions and its everlasting rejection of violence in all its forms.
A statement from Egypt's Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the attack as a "vile act" that threatens the safety and peace of Omani citizens.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bahrain labeled the attack as an egregious violation of moral and religious principles, designed to erode the security and stability of Oman.
The head of the six-nation Gulf Cooperation Council, Jasem al Budaiwi, has reaffirmed the total backing and unity of the GCC countries in the face of Oman's challenges.
Saudi Arabia commended the swift action taken by the Omani authorities in response to the shooting.
On its social media platform, the Spokesman for the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, Ahmed Abu Zeid, expressed Egypt's solidarity with Oman during this difficult period. He extended his best wishes for the quick recovery of those injured.
