Pakistan Navy Ships Visit Muscat To Enhance Bilateral Relations

Muscat: The Pakistan Navy Training Flotilla, comprising the Pakistan Navy ships Tabuk and Rahnaward (Sail Training Ship), made a visit to Muscat from January 13 to January 16, 2025. This visit marked the celebration of the fifth anniversary of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik's accession to the throne. The government and people of Pakistan conveyed their warm greetings and best wishes for His Majesty’s ongoing success and leadership in guiding the Sultanate of Oman towards greater achievements and development.

The visit aimed to foster goodwill and strengthen the bilateral relations between the two nations. The flotilla was commanded by Commodore Rashid Mahmood Shiekh. During their stay, the mission commander and the commanding officers of the Pakistani ships engaged with various officials from the Royal Navy of Oman, discussing topics of mutual interest and exploring avenues for enhanced cooperation between the defense forces of both countries.

A reception was held aboard the Pakistan Navy ship Tabuk, attended by members of the diplomatic community, military attaches, officers from the Sultan Armed Forces, and local dignitaries. Additional activities included exchange visits and professional interactions between cadets from the Pakistan Naval Academy and the Sultan Qaboos Naval Academy, aimed at promoting mutual learning and training.

This visit is anticipated to strengthen the friendship between the Sultanate of Oman and Pakistan, particularly in relation to the armed forces of both nations. It will also enhance collaboration in the area of maritime security operations.
