During their conversation, Secretary Blinken extended his warm congratulations to the leadership and citizens of Oman on the fifth anniversary of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik's accession to the throne.
The dialogue also addressed a variety of regional and global issues of shared concern, focusing on ongoing initiatives to bolster security and stability in the region. Both ministers underscored the importance of dialogue and international collaboration in tackling common challenges.
Additionally, His Excellency Al Busaidi expressed his condolences to the U.S. government and its people regarding the recent wildfires in California, recognizing the significant efforts made by U.S. authorities to manage the crisis and alleviate its effects on communities and properties.
The two leaders reiterated their dedication to enhancing the enduring partnership between the U.S. and Oman, promoting cooperation across multiple sectors, and coordinating efforts to advance peace and stability both regionally and internationally.
