Muscat: Omani doctor Aiman Al Salmi has returned to his homeland after spending over 15 days providing assistance to the injured in the Gaza Strip.
Dr. Aiman Al Salmi, a plastic surgeon at Khawla Hospital, expressed his gratitude in a post on X platform, stating, "I am grateful to God for my safe return. I would like to extend my thanks and appreciation to all of you for your unwavering support and prayers."
Al Salmi arrived in the Gaza Strip on February 19, 2024, via the Rafah border after coordinating with an international organization. He expressed his gratitude to everyone who congratulated him on his arrival, acknowledging that if given the opportunity, they would have joined him. He expressed his deep love and appreciation for each individual and the honor he felt representing the loyal Omani people in Palestine.
During his stay in Gaza, which lasted for more than 15 days, Dr. Aiman Al Salmi actively participated in numerous surgical operations for those injured as a result of the aggression on the Gaza Strip. He performed over 10 operations daily, as he shared.
Additionally, he used his platform on X to shed light on the humanitarian conditions faced by the people of Gaza in hospitals and camps, sharing scenes from his experiences.
Yesterday, Dr. Al Salmi reassured his followers that the aid sent to him for the people of Gaza had been successfully distributed. He expressed his gratitude and prayed for the acceptance of their charity and prayers.
