Muscat: The Youth Company known as "Najma Marches" has been recognized with numerous awards for its groundbreaking contributions in the field of innovative technical solutions.
Saeed bin Abdul Ghafoor Al Balushi, the CEO of the company, emphasized that "Najma Marches" is dedicated to research and development, aiming to provide cutting-edge technical solutions that drive technological advancement in the Sultanate of Oman and position it as a global hub for technology.
Al Balushi further highlighted that the company possesses a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, which serves as a prominent research center in the Otab region of Sohar. This manufacturing unit is an integral part of the Sohar Production Incubators for Manufacturing Industries, affiliated with Sohar University.
He elaborated on the company's accolades, mentioning their triumph in the "Sweeping" project, which secured first place in the Oman Airports Ideas Competition. This project focuses on utilizing robots to effectively clean airport runways from tire debris and plankton, thereby contributing to environmental preservation.
Furthermore, "Najma Marches" claimed the top spot in the "Entrepreneurial Ideas Race" organized by the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority. Their innovative solutions to combat water salinity in certain Nama stations earned them this prestigious recognition.
The company's success continued with their victory in the "Pioneer Gulf Hackathon 2023" held in Qatar. Their project, named "Vega," employs drones equipped with an artificial intelligence system for early detection of the red palm weevil.
Overall, "Najma Marches" Youth Company's commitment to innovation and their remarkable achievements have solidified their position as a leader in providing groundbreaking technical solutions.
He highlighted that the company successfully executed eight projects in collaboration with both governmental and private entities. These projects encompassed a wide range of initiatives, such as drone-based spraying, covering a vast area of 16 thousand acres. Specifically, 8 thousand acres were dedicated to palm tree dubas, while 6 thousand acres were allocated for combating the nargile beetle and whiteflies. The company worked closely with the Ministry of Agricultural Wealth, Fisheries, and Water Resources, particularly with the Center for Agricultural Research and Water Resources in the South Al Batinah Governorate. Moreover, they also facilitated the development of two thousand acres of private farms across the Sultanate of Oman.
Furthermore, the company achieved significant milestones in the field of agricultural drones. They successfully converted a hybrid gasoline agricultural drone into a fully electric one. Additionally, they proudly manufactured the first-ever Omani drone in Sohar. Moreover, in collaboration with space photography experts, they effectively covered the vegetation and wild trees throughout the Sultanate of Oman.
