The Sultanate of Oman hosted the inaugural meeting of the Omani-British Strategic Consultation Team today in Manah, located within the Governorate of A’Dakhiliyah, at the Oman Across Ages Museum.
During this first meeting of 2025, participants discussed various topics concerning investment, the enhancement of the business environment, and opportunities for investment collaboration. Key areas of focus included the investment strategies and target sectors of both nations, as well as ongoing initiatives aimed at improving the investment appeal of Oman. The discussions also delved into potential partnerships in scientific innovation and green energy, alongside the exchange of best practices for promoting national identity and effective communication.
Representatives from various Omani departments, along with a delegation from the United Kingdom comprising government officials, private sector representatives, and consultants, participated in the meeting. This initiative is part of broader efforts to foster cooperation in economic, investment, and development sectors, with the ultimate goal of strengthening bilateral relations.
In conjunction with the meeting, several workshops and technical sessions were conducted to explore collaborative strategies for creating a clear vision for future generations through community engagement. These sessions also aimed to develop a framework for skills and competencies that align with labor market needs and academic institutions, as well as to establish a supportive ecosystem for small and medium enterprises across the governorates. Additionally, findings from an advisory study on green transformation were shared.
This meeting serves to bolster the partnership between Oman and the United Kingdom, broaden avenues for collaboration, and facilitate the exchange of knowledge and expertise in mutually beneficial areas, ultimately striving to achieve shared economic and investment objectives.
