Muscat: Eng. Said Hamoud Al Ma’awali, the Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, announced that the Ministry is focusing on several key projects and initiatives this year. Among the most significant are the launch of the Space Accelerators Programme, the advancement of the second phase of the Space Engineering Laboratory project in collaboration with Sultan Qaboos University, the execution of the second package of the National Capacity Building Program in the Space Sector, and the ongoing efforts to assess government institutions and academic entities related to the space sector.
He also highlighted that the Ministry plans to revise several laws this year, including the Electronic Transactions Law, the Communications and Information Technology Regulatory Law, and the Anti-Information Technology Crimes Law, as well as develop regulations to support government digital transformation.
