Oman Takes Part In Brunei Darussalam Book Fair 2025

Brunei: The Sultanate of Oman is participating in the Brunei Darussalam Book Fair 2025.

Oman's involvement in this event is intended to strengthen bilateral relations and enhance the country's cultural visibility on the global stage.

Cultural identity

This initiative aligns with the National Cultural Strategy, which seeks to showcase Omani intellectual contributions, promote Omani authors and publishers, reinforce the national cultural identity, and increase the availability of Omani publications in educational institutions across East Asia.

The book fair was inaugurated by Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Nazmi bin Haji Awang Mohamad, the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports in Brunei Darussalam.

During his visit, the minister explored the Sultanate of Oman’s pavilion, where he observed a diverse range of publications that demonstrate Oman’s commitment to literature, thought, history, and heritage. At the end of his tour, the minister praised the quality of Oman’s participation in the book fair and the exhibits presented in its pavilion.

The Sultanate of Oman’s pavilion drew the interest of various visitor groups.

It featured a selection of recent publications released by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, along with works from government agencies and civil society organizations.

The displays included general information, tourism resources, and exhibits that showcased the Sultanate of Oman’s rich heritage and natural attractions.
