Manila: On Wednesday, the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of the Philippines convened the fifth round of political discussions in Manila.
The meeting was led by Sheikh Khalifa Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs, alongside Maria-Theresa Lazaro, Undersecretary for Bilateral Relations and ASEAN Affairs at the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Philippines.
During the session, both parties assessed their bilateral relations across various sectors, including politics, economy, trade, investment, education, and information technology.
They also shared perspectives on several regional and international matters of shared interest.
Additionally, the Undersecretary for Political Affairs engaged in discussions with Enrique Manalo, Secretary for Foreign Affairs of the Philippines, where they evaluated the ongoing cooperation between their nations.
The session was attended by Nasser Said Abdullah Almanwari, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Philippines, Raul Hernandez, Ambassador of the Philippines to Oman, and various officials from both delegations.
