Oman Participates In Meeting Of GCC Ministerial Committee For E-Government

Doha: The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, on behalf of the Sultanate of Oman, participated in the 8th meeting of the GCC Ministerial Committee for E-Government, which was convened in Qatar.

The delegation from Oman was led by Dr. Ali Amer Al Shidhani, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, specifically for Communications and Information Technology.

The agenda of the meeting encompassed several critical topics, including the approval of a guiding strategy for e-government across GCC states, the review of reports submitted by the e-government executive committee and its working groups, and the endorsement of a unified framework aimed at enhancing digital access across member states.

Furthermore, the meeting addressed the criteria for the GCC E-Government Award and deliberated on strategies for the distribution of a booklet titled “Digital Landscape in the GCC”.
