Muscat: On Tuesday, Faisal Abdullah Al Rowas, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), welcomed Abdulla Adel Fakhro, Bahrain's Minister of Industry and Commerce.
The two sides explored strategies to improve trade and investment links between Oman and Bahrain, opening possibilities for private sector collaboration in both countries through joint ventures and information exchange, so promoting bilateral ties and economic integration.
The meeting also explored possibilities in important economic sectors of mutual concern and devised ways for engaging the commercial sector in building joint initiatives to promote economic growth in both nations.
Al Rowas highlighted the great progress in economic ties between Oman and Bahrain, adding his optimism that this meeting would result in more measures to strengthen trade and investment cooperation while creating new prospects for business owners in lucrative economic industries.
He underlined the critical role of the commercial sector in promoting future collaboration through strategic alliances and high-quality initiatives that are consistent with both countries' development plans—Oman Vision 2040 and Bahrain 2030—while applauding the efforts of the Oman-Bahrain Investment Company and the Oman-Bahrain Friendship Society in bolstering bilateral links.
Several OCCI board members, executive officials, and representatives from both parties attended the conference.
