Official Ramadan Working Hours For Public And Private Sectors Announced In Oman

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman has officially announced the working hours for the holy month of Ramadan, 1446 AH.

For government entities, the standard working hours will be set at five consecutive hours, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Unit heads have the discretion to implement flexible schedules, allowing for work hours between 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM, depending on the operational needs of the unit and the arrival and departure times of employees. Remote work options will be available for eligible roles, provided that at least 50% of the unit's personnel are present in the office.

In the private sector, the working hours for Muslim employees will be reduced to six hours per day, totaling a maximum of 30 hours per week.
