Muscat: The Ministry of Health has officially initiated a National Survey of Non-Communicable Diseases in the Muscat Governorate.
This survey will involve field visits to various residential areas within the Muscat Governorate to gather data on the prevalence of non-communicable diseases, including hypertension, diabetes, chronic respiratory conditions, cancer, and heart diseases. The launch event took place under the patronage of Sayyid Saud Hilal Al Busaidi, the Governor of Muscat.
During the ceremony, Sayyid Saud emphasized the necessity of collaboration among all relevant stakeholders to achieve the goals of this significant national initiative. He expressed confidence that the survey would lead to substantial advancements in public health and the enhancement of health services within the governorate.
The primary objective of the survey is to obtain precise data regarding the prevalence of non-communicable diseases. It aims to analyze various risk factors linked to these conditions, such as poor dietary habits, insufficient physical activity, smoking, and the use of harmful substances. Consequently, a national database will be created to inform strategies aimed at improving disease prevention and health services, ultimately benefiting the overall health of the community.
This survey underscores the Ministry of Health's commitment to strengthening the prevention and management of non-communicable diseases, aligning with both local and international efforts to enhance the health of individuals and communities.
The National Survey of Non-Communicable Diseases has also commenced in the A’Dakhiliyah Governorate.
Nizwa: The Directorate General of Health Services in A’Dakhiliyah Governorate has initiated a project named "National Survey of Non-Communicable Diseases" aimed at enhancing public health and fostering sustainable prevention of non-communicable diseases.
The inauguration ceremony took place under the patronage of Sheikh Hilal Said Al Hajri, the Governor of A’Dakhiliyah.
This initiative is designed to deliver a thorough evaluation of the health conditions within the local community, formulate effective preventive measures to mitigate the risks associated with non-communicable diseases, and improve the overall health of individuals across all age groups.
Additionally, the project aims to bolster national health strategies and inform health policies based on scientific research, contributing to the development of a healthier community better equipped to tackle future health challenges.

Mahut: The Directorate General of Health Services in Al Wusta Governorate has today commenced the National Survey Campaign for Non-Communicable Diseases in the Wilayat of Mahout.
