Kanpur, India: The esteemed team of Gautam Gambhir, the esteemed head coach, Rishabh Pant, the distinguished wicketkeeper, and Virat Kohli, the renowned batsman, arrived at the team hotel in Kanpur prior to the commencement of the second Test against Bangladesh, scheduled to begin on Friday at the Green Park.

On the second day of the match, Pant, Kohli, and Gambhir were observed engaging in activities outside the team hotel.

Gambhir's tenure as the head coach in the Test arena has been marked by a series of successes. His inaugural Test match as the head coach saw India emerge victorious with a remarkable 280-run win at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Pant made his return to Test cricket with an impressive performance, scoring 109 runs in the second innings. His aggressive approach and defensive play posed significant challenges for the Bangladesh bowlers, eliciting a wave of sentimentality among the Indian supporters.

He began his comeback positively, scoring 39 runs from 52 deliveries before being dismissed by the in-form Hasan Mahmud.

Kohli's performance in Chennai was less than stellar, managing only 6 and 17 runs in the two innings. He was dismissed by both Hasan Mahmud and spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz.

In the first Test against Bangladesh, Ashwin was awarded the 'Player of the Match' title. He delivered a crucial 113-run innings from 133 deliveries in the first match.

Ashwin's performance in the second match was equally commendable, as he achieved a six-wicket haul, contributing significantly to India's victory on the fourth day of the Chennai Test.

This achievement marks Ashwin's 37th five-wicket haul in Test cricket, placing him in a tie with the illustrious Australian spinner Shane Warne for the second-highest number of five-wicket hauls in Test history. The only individual ahead of Ashwin is the esteemed Sri Lankan legend Muttiah Muralitharan, who boasts 67.
