Muscat: Under the patronage of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the student festival titled "Oman's Renewed Renaissance" is scheduled to take place on Thursday, January 11, 2025, at Al-Fatah Square in the Muscat Governorate. This event is organized by the General Secretariat for National Celebrations.
The General Secretariat for National Celebrations has highlighted that this festival will see the participation of 8,000 individuals from various governorates across Oman. It marks the fifth anniversary of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq's reign and the commencement of Oman's renewed renaissance.
The festival will consist of five distinct segments:
1. The Welcoming Segment: This part will convey the joy and happiness experienced by the people of Oman during this significant occasion, under the esteemed patronage and presence of His Majesty.
2. The Knowledge Segment: This segment will emphasize education as a crucial element for sustainable development and align with Oman Vision 2040, showcasing various educational pathways and underscoring the significance of innovation and scientific research in enhancing the skills of the nation's youth.
3. The Achieved Promise Segment: This section will highlight the achievements made over the past five years in Oman's renewed renaissance, reflecting on the attention and progress various sectors have experienced during this developmental journey.
4. Oman, Land of Peace Segment: Participants will express the essence of Oman's heritage, its civilization, the principles of Shura (consultative governance), and the commitment to peace, which is a fundamental value for the Omani people.
5. Oman Through Time Segment: This segment features students and community members from different governorates, who come together to display Omani heritage and arts that reflect their deep love for the nation and loyalty to His Majesty. It underscores the commitment of Omanis to their artistic traditions and the importance of passing these customs down through generations.
The festival culminates in a segment dedicated to expressing loyalty, gratitude, and admiration for His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, reinforcing the pledge to advance under his astute leadership towards a revitalized Omani renaissance and sustainable progress.
The General Secretariat for National Celebrations has highlighted that these festivals are designed to promote the values of citizenship, convey sentiments of loyalty and belonging, celebrate the accomplishments of the renewed renaissance, and showcase the rich heritage.
