Muscat: Today, under the esteemed patronage of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, Oman’s Promotional Brand was officially launched at Al Barakah Palace.
During the event, His Majesty was informed about the various stages involved in the development of Oman’s Promotional Brand. This included insights into how different segments of society, along with relevant public and private sector stakeholders, contributed to shaping the identity and outcomes of the project. The initiative aims to foster positive perceptions of the Sultanate of Oman on local, regional, and global scales by standardizing communication messages, enhancing digital content, and employing leading global practices for promotion.
The strategy emphasizes the importance of collaboration and coherence among all governmental and private entities tasked with positioning Oman as a prime destination for investment, tourism, and residency.
Following this, His Majesty the Sultan acknowledged the results of the community vote and the visual slogans that were presented for selection. The slogan "Partnership" garnered the highest number of votes from both Omanis and residents. His Majesty highlighted that this slogan is integral to a comprehensive strategy designed to advance the Sultanate of Oman’s promotional framework.
His Majesty noted that this slogan, with its promotional essence, embodies aspirations for a modern future while underscoring the enduring values of connection and integration with global communities, engaging with the rich cultural heritage of the Sultanate of Oman to enhance communication efforts.
The selection of the slogan "Partnership" aligns seamlessly with the Sultanate of Oman’s strategy for fostering global relations. This strategy is rooted in the principle of mutual trust, which guides the establishment of economic and strategic partnerships with both Arab nations and friendly countries. It reflects the perspective that Oman serves as a bridge between Eastern and Western cultures.
His Majesty the Sultan expressed appreciation for the contributions of all government entities and private sector organizations in supporting the initiative to promote Oman’s brand. He acknowledged the involvement of various community segments, including both Omani citizens and residents.
His Majesty also praised the Financial and Economic Committee of the Council of Ministers for its oversight of the project aimed at creating a unified Promotional Brand for the Sultanate of Oman. He recognized the efforts of the technical and administrative teams from the National Programme for Private Sector and Foreign Trade Development, known as “Nazdaher,” thanking them for their collaboration with relevant government bodies and private organizations throughout all phases of the project.
His Majesty instructed government entities to implement the brand's outcomes within their respective areas of expertise, ensuring the effective execution of the brand strategy and the alignment of promotional efforts and communication messages among the Sultanate's institutions.
The ceremony was attended by Sultan bin Salim Al Habsi, Minister of Finance and Chairman of the Financial and Economic Committee at the Council of Ministers; Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office; Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion and Supervisor General of Nazdaher; Hussein bin Ali bin Abdul Latif, Adviser at the Private Office; and Sayyid Dr. Sultan bin Ya’arub Al Busaidi, Adviser at the Private Office.
