Muscat: This evening, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik engaged in a phone conversation with Giorgia Meloni, the Prime Minister of Italy.
During the discussion, they evaluated the friendship and cooperation that exist between Oman and Italy, emphasizing the significance of advancing these ties across various sectors to benefit their mutual interests.
They also shared insights regarding a number of regional and global matters, particularly the negotiations involving the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States.
In this regard, the Italian Prime Minister acknowledged and appreciated Oman’s crucial role in promoting dialogue and diplomacy, which contributes to the enhancement of security and stability both regionally and globally.
In response, His Majesty the Sultan thanked the Italian government for its support, which played a vital role in facilitating the second round of negotiations that took place in Rome last Saturday.
