Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has paid a visit to the Mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the Founder of the Republic of Türkiye, during his official state visit to Türkiye.
During his stay in Ankara, HM The Sultan held an audience with the Vice President of Türkiye at his residence. This meeting underscored the significance of enhancing investment and economic collaboration between the two nations.
In a discussion at his residence, HM The Sultan encouraged Turkish entrepreneurs to investigate the investment opportunities present in Oman across various sectors, highlighting the nation’s competitive advantages.
In a message recorded in the visitors’ book, His Majesty emphasized the Sultanate of Oman’s commitment to promoting peace, which he regards as a fundamental national principle. He expressed his hopes for the Republic of Turkey to enjoy lasting stability, progress, and prosperity.
Following this, His Majesty the Sultan toured the museum adjacent to the mausoleum, where he examined exhibits showcasing the personal effects of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk and the development of modern Turkey.
Additionally, HM The Sultan visited the Nation’s Library in Ankara, where he explored its various sections, valuable publications, and rare manuscripts. He also attended a mini-exhibition featuring Omani-Turkish documents and publications, organized in honor of his visit to Türkiye.
