Vinu Mathew, along with his family and friend Ikram Sadaat, embarked on a challenging trip covering over 12,130 kilometers from Muscat to Bridgetown, Barbados, to show their unwavering passion for cricket by supporting Oman's national team in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. This journey not only showcased their dedication to the sport but also their pride in representing their nation in the Caribbean, a region known for producing cricketing legends.

The trio, part of the "fabulous five" group, stood out as Oman-based supporters amidst the enthusiastic crowd at Kensington Oval, highlighting their commitment to cricket and their country. Vinu Mathew, a respected figure in Oman's cricket community managing top domestic teams, proudly supports Oman's cricket journey, having traveled worldwide to witness their victories in international tournaments, including the historic win against Ireland in the ICC T20 World Cup 2016.

Looking ahead to Oman's match against Namibia in Bridgetown, Mathew shared his reflections on Oman cricket's growth, a story he has closely followed for years. His unwavering backing goes beyond mere fandom, reflecting a deep bond with the players he has nurtured in Oman's domestic cricket scene, now ready to shine on the global platform.

Mathew expressed his pride in the team and his long-standing dedication to Oman cricket. He mentioned that he had watched all of Oman's T20 World Cup games, starting from 2016 in India and then in 2021 when Oman co-hosted with the UAE.

Accompanied by his wife, Bonnie, who shares his passion for Oman cricket, as well as their children Ryan and Rhea, Mathew's family represents the collective spirit of Omani cricket enthusiasts. They wholeheartedly support their team with unwavering enthusiasm.

Ikram Sadaat, a former domestic cricketer and respected team manager, sees Oman's rise in international cricket as the fulfillment of a lifelong dream.
