Muscat: This morning, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik welcomed Saqr Ghobash, the Speaker of the Federal National Council of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), at Al Barakah Palace.
During their meeting, the Speaker extended warm greetings and best wishes from Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE, to His Majesty the Sultan. In turn, His Majesty conveyed his heartfelt sentiments to be communicated to the President.
The discussions centered on the ongoing collaboration between the two nations, with a particular emphasis on parliamentary councils and strategies to enhance joint efforts in this domain. The aim is to support the national plans and visions of both countries while addressing the aspirations of their citizens.
The meeting was also attended by Khalid Hilal Al Maawali, Chairman of the Shura Council, and Mohammed Nakhira Al Dhaheri, the UAE Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman.
