Muscat: On the occasion of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune's state visit to the Sultanate of Oman, an official reception was extended to him on Tuesday.
Upon the arrival of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and President Tebboune in the Al Alam Palace courtyard, the Sultan accompanied the Algerian President to the Dais of Honour. During this ceremony, the national anthem of Algeria was performed, followed by a 21-gun salute from the artillery in honor of the visiting President.
Subsequently, His Majesty the Sultan engaged in formal greetings with members of the official delegation with President Tebboune, expressing his wishes for a successful visit and a comfortable stay.
In response, the visiting President extended his hand in greeting to members of the Royal Family, Chairmen of the State Council and Shura Council, ministers, commanders of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF) and the Royal Oman Police (ROP).
Following these formalities, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and President Abdelmadjid Tebboune proceeded to the hall for the taking of coffee.
