Air India Enters 4 New Interline Partnerships For Greater Access To Europe And Central Asia

New Delhi: On Tuesday, Air India, India's top international airline, announced interline agreements with four major airlines from developing nations, greatly improving connectivity to Europe, notably the Baltic area, as well as sections of Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

According to the airline, the collaborations will provide Air India customers with seamless travel choices to 16 additional locations in six countries in these areas, while also making India more accessible to passengers of the partner airlines.

According to Air India, the airline has signed interline agreements with Airbaltic, Bulgaria Air, Cyprus Airways, and Uzbekistan Airways on the fringes of the current 81st IATA Annual General Meeting in New Delhi.

The new collaborations enhance Air India's role as a worldwide connector, allowing passengers to travel across continents on a single-ticket itinerary that includes Air India flights with those of its partner airlines, as well as coordinated baggage allowance and handling.

The carrier, airBaltic, offers connections to Riga (Latvia), Tallinn (Estonia), and Vilnius (Lithuania) via Air India's European gateways in Amsterdam, Paris, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, London Gatwick, MilanMalpensa, Vienna, Zurich, and Dubai.

Bulgaria Air provides access to Sofia via Air India's gateways in London Heathrow, Paris, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Milan, Zurich, and Tel Aviv, facilitating travel to the dynamic Eastern European city. Air India visitors may also connect to other Bulgarian cities such as Varna and Burgas from Sofia.
Cyprus Airways connects Larnaca (Cyprus) through Air India's European hubs in Paris, Milan, and Dubai, allowing Indian tourists to access one of the Mediterranean's most important cultural and economic centers.

Uzbekistan Airways operates flights from Delhi, Mumbai, and GoaMopa (GOX) to Tashkent, with subsequent connections to Bukhara, Qarshi, Nukus, Urgench, Termez, Samarkand, Fergana, and Namangan.

In contrast, Air India will provide easy access to more than 30 Indian cities for the clients of its four partner airlines, including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Goa, and Kochi, according to the release.

These four new interline agreements greatly increase Air India's global reach and provide seamless access to exciting cities in some of the world's most important emerging markets, according to Nipun Aggarwal, Chief Commercial Officer of Air India.
