Muscat: On Thursday, the Youth Centre signed two cooperation agreements with Oman Oil Marketing Company and Nikon to help Omani youth and develop their abilities in a variety of areas.
Basil Ahmed Al Rowas, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Youth for Sports and Youth, represents the Youth Centre in signing the contracts.
The first partnership, between the Youth Centre and Oman Oil Marketing Company, seeks to execute the third edition of the Tamakkun freelance program. This program aims to empower 200 young men and women engaged in independent freelancing from September to December 2025, by equipping them with the skills and tools to convert their talents into sustainable revenue sources.
The second agreement, created in collaboration with Nikon, aims to support young people in professional photography by offering them advanced training programs. It will also involve providing photography and sound studios at the Youth Centre, helping to foster a creative and capable environment for Omani youngsters.
